Breathe men and ariel Company Theatre
Breathe Men and Ariel Company Theatre are collaborating to fund a play called Barnet Hawks. Please take a couple of minutes to watch the trailer here from the original production, which was performed to sell-out audiences in February 2023. * Audience feedback showed that after attending Barnet Hawks, 83% of the audience had increased awareness of male mental health, 76% are now more likely to reach out to a friend regarding their mental health. This Go Fund Me Page is to raise funds to facilitate Ariel Company Theatre to perform Barnet Hawks at the Capitol Theatre Horsham in May 2024 to continue to raise awareness of the male mental health epidemic we are facing. To read more select here Breathe Men are a West Sussex based social enterprise (CIC) that was established in 2022 with the sole purpose to provide safe spaces for men of all ages to talk about their emotions. Often men struggle without knowing where to seek help as well as not being willing to request assistance. It is well documented that the majority of men struggle to open up and talk about their feelings and Breathe Men provides facilities, workshops and seminars to help support any man who may be struggling with their mental health. Founder, James Horwood, who has experienced his own battles with mental health is passionate about change, as well as helping people and removing the stigma around men's mental health. With any excess funds raised, Breathe Men will be able to provide more free to attend 'Drop In Sessions' around West Sussex, host events, as well as grow the Breathe Men community in order to reach and support more men. With the support of Francisco Lounge in Haywards Heath, Ariel Company Theatre and Breathe Men will be holding - 27th January - Quiz 9th March - Acoustic Evening featuring Ariel Students 13th April - Karaoke Night Men who can't speak openly about their emotions feel less likely to recognise symptoms of poor mental health and are less likely to reach out for support. This production will increase awareness along with raising vital funds in supporting a local charity, Breathe Men. Please give as little or as much as you can.
