The play underscores the significance of community in combating isolation in a world that sees the biggest killer of men under 45 is suicide. I wanted to champion the idea of connecting and checking in on others, highlighting the impact a simple question like “Sure you’re alright?” can have.
Being blessed to have a plethora of fiercely talented actors around me, the cast I chose to bring these characters to life, came to me very clearly and to write for them has been such a joy. At times I felt like a fly on the wall in a Men Behaving Badly rehearsal or re-calls for One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest.
